Joe`s Garage - A 2011 Original Paper Model - by Papermau Download This Week!

This is Joe`s Garage, another papercraft that I thought I had lost the templates for forever, but that I ended up finding in a compressed file on an old, scratched rewritable CD.

Joe`s Garage was created and published here on Papermau in July 2011, in the second month of the blog's existence. 

The original post is still active here on the blog, but the download link is no longer valid. I need to fix this epost because the photos are out of scale and are still on Photobucket, with that huge watermark. 

In the original post I said that "this is another project to finish. If anyone wants to download this part, I will post the rest soon, as I draw it. It will be a service station with lots of details, such as signs and prices, a a little scrap iron, tools and whatever else I can put on paper." 

Well, for now I don't intend to add anything to this model, but what's already ready, what you see in the photos, you can already create something, using your own creativity, right? 

There is a garage with large doors and glazed windows and there is also a small office or tool room. 

By the end of the week I will publish the Joe`s Garage templates that I believe will be useful for dioramas of Hot Wheels and Matchbox miniatures.

Este é o Joe`s Garage, mais um papercraft que eu pensei haver perdido os templates para sempre, mas que acabei encontrando em um arquivo comprimido em um antigo e riscado CD regravável. 

O Joe`s Garage foi criado e publicado aqui no Papermau em Julho de 2011, no segundo mês de existência do blog. 

O post original continua ativo aqui no blog, mas o link de download não é mais válido. Preciso consertar este post porque as fotos estão fora de escala e ainda estão no Photobucket, com aquela marca d`água enorme. 

No post original eu disse que "este é mais um projeto para terminar. Se alguém quiser ir baixando esta parte, em breve posto o resto, conforme for desenhando. Será um posto de serviços com muitos detalhes, como placas de sinalização e preços, um pouco de ferro velho, ferramentas e mais o que eu conseguir passar para o papel." 

Bem, por enquanto não pretendo acrescentar nada a este modelo, mas o que já está pronto, o que você vê nas fotos, já dá para criar algo, usando sua própria criatividade, não é mesmo? 

Há uma garagem com portas amplas e janelas com vidraças e há também um pequeno escritório ou depósito de ferramentas. 

Até o final da semana publico os templates do Joe`s Garage que creio será útil para dioramas de miniaturas de carros tipo Hot Wheels e Matchbox.

The Service Station - A Papercraft Created Using An Ilustration Generated by Artificial intelligence

I would really like to say that I was the one who created the illustration of this gas station in 8-bit style, but the truth is that it was created by Artificial Intelligence, more precisely Bing's AI, or Microsoft's Copilot. 

All I had to do was write a text, or prompt, with the following words: "1950s US service station facade, front view, bird's eye view, color art in 8-bit style." 

After a few seconds, Bing generated four different images, four variations based on my prompt. 

The image you see in this post is practically the same image that Bing presented to me. 

I only made the base and some modifications to the writing because I don't know why, artificial intelligences have problems with words and letters, just like they do when creating human hands. Anyone who has used any of these tools knows what I'm talking about. 

Anyway, there's the downloadable model, which is just a stand for miniature vehicles.

Eu gostaria muito de dizer que fui eu quem criou a ilustração deste posto de gasolina em estilo 8 bits, mas a verdade é que ela foi criada por uma Inteligência Artificial, mais precisamente a IA do Bing, ou Copilot da Microsoft. 

Tudo que eu precisei fazer foi escrever um texto, ou prompt, com as seguintes palavras: "fachada de um posto de serviços dos anos 1950 dos EUA, visão frontal, visão panorâmica, arte colorida em estilo 8 bits". 

Depois de alguns segundos o Bing gerou quatro imagens diferentes, quatro variações baseadas no meu prompt. 

A imagem que você vê neste post, a que eu escolhi entre as quatro, é praticamente a mesma imagem que o Bing me apresentou. 

Fiz apenas a base e algumas modificações nas escritas porque não sei qual a razão, as inteligências artificiais têm problemas com palavras e letras, assim como têm ao criar mãos humanas. Quem já usou alguma dessas ferramentas sabe do que estou falando. 

De qualquer forma, aí está o modelo para download, que é apenas um stand para veículos em miniatura.

McGurk`s Tavern - A Miniature Pub Paper Model - by Papermau Download Now!

This papercraft of a pub, the McGurk`s Tavern, was freely inspired by an architectural model present in the 3D train simulator "Railroad Tycoon 3". 

I say "freely inspired" because I only had the textures of the model, but not an image of the assembled building, so I had to use my imagination to try and figure out where each piece should go. 

I got these textures on a website called Textures Resource (link at the end of this post) which is a kind of community of gamers that collects textures from video games from all platforms (computers and consoles) and files them alphabetically. 

They use these textures to make modifications to games, but as you can see in this post, textures are also very useful for papercrafts, just a little imagination. 

I would like to thank the entire community and especially the user known as "Eldomtom2", who is responsible for capturing the texture used in this model. 

The entire model occupies only one printed sheet and I believe it will be useful for dioramas and wargames. Have fun.

Este papercraft de um pub, o McGurk`s Tavern, foi livremente inspirado em um prédio presente no simulador de trens 3D "Railroad Tycoon 3". 

Eu digo "livremente inspirado" porque eu só tinha as texturas do modelo, mas não uma imagem do prédio montado, então tive que usar a imaginação para tentar descobrir aonde deveria ir cada peça. 

Eu consegui essas texturas em um site chamado Textures Resource (link no final deste post) que é uma espécie de comunidade de gamers que coleta texturas de videogames de todas as plataformas (computadores e consoles) e as arquiva em forma alfabética. 

Eles usam essas texturas para fazer modificações em jogos, mas como vocês podem ver nesta postagem, as texturas também são muito úteis para papercrafts, basta um pouco de imaginação. 

Deixo aqui então meus agradecimentos a toda a comunidade e especialmente ao usuário conhecido como "Eldomtom2", que é o responsável por capturar a textura usada neste modelo. 

O modelo todo ocupa apenas uma folha impressa e eu creio que será útil para dioramas and wargames. Boa montagem.

Easy-To-Build Police Station Paper Model For Kids - by Papermau Download Now!

As I said in the other post, my idea when creating this model was that it would be easy to assemble, suitable for children, but I believe that 1/64 scale people (Hot Wheels, Matchbox) will also like it. 

The entire model is made up of just three rectangular shapes aligned side by side plus a flat base. I managed to arrange all the pieces on five sheets, so the police station was a good size, neither too big nor too small and ideal for displaying Hot Wheels and Matchbox miniatures and also for children to play with. 

An idea for a more reinforced and more "playable" model for young children would be to print the sheets, cut out each side of each building and glue each part, including the base, onto cardboard from those boxes that we get for free in supermarkets. 

You can then join the parts together with transparent adhesive tape or hot glue. 

Another idea is to cut the garage doors so that children can play with their cars.

Como eu havia dito em outro post, minha idéia ao criar este modelo foi que ele fosse fácil de montar, próprio para crianças, mas creio que o pessoal da escala 1/64 (Hot Wheels, Matchbox) também irá gostar. 

O modelo todo é composto de apenas três formas retangulares alinhadas lado a lado e mais a base plana. 

Consegui arranjar todas as peças em cinco folhas, então a delegacia ficou com um bom tamanho, nem muito grande nem muito pequena e ideal para expor miniaturas Hot Wheels e Matchbox e também para as crianças brincarem. 

Uma idéia para um modelo mais reforçado e mais "brincável" para crianças pequenas, seria imprimir as folhas, recortar cada lado de cada prédio e e colar cada parte, incluindo a base, em papelão dessas caixas que pegamos de graça em supermercados.

Depois pode-se unir as partes com fita adesiva transparente ou cola quente. 

Outra idéia é cortar as portas da garagem para que as crianças possam brincar com seus carrinhos.

Minha idéia ao criar este modelo foi que ele fosse fácil de montar, próprio para crianças, ma screio que o pessoal da escala 1/64 (Hot Wheels, Matchbox) também irá gostar. 

O modelo todo é composto de apenas três formas retangulares alinhadas lado a lado e mais a base plana. Hoje apenas algumas imagens.
